Keurig coffee makers are known for their delicious cups of joe, but they can also be problematic. If you experience any of the following problems with your Keurig coffee maker, please read through this blog post to find out how to fix them:
- Weak or no water pressure – Check to see if the water reservoir is full and if there is enough pressure in the hose leading from the tank to the machine. If not, try adjusting either the faucet or knob on the side of machine.
- Incorrectly inserted filters – When a new filter is inserted into a Keurig coffee maker it will require a few minutes for it to activate and begin filtering coffee grounds from milk. During this time make sure that your kitchen isn’t too noisy so you don’t disturb your brewing process.
- Overflow – Make sure that there is nothing blocking any openings on top of machine (like cabinet doors) and check that all removable parts (water reservoir, carafe etc.) are correctly seated in their respective slots
- Incorrect temperature – The correct temperature for ground coffee should be between 195 degrees F-205 degrees F, while espresso should be brewed at 205 degrees F-215 degrees F. Check manufacturer guidelines as these temperatures may vary depending on type/size/weight of bean used.
- Stopped water flow – Check all connectors–there might be something preventing water from flowing freely such as kinks.
