We are here to take a look at the Gaggia New Baby espresso machine. Some of the nice features that this machine does have to offer are that it does have a three way solenoid valve and what that does is it’s going to help dry out the puck and relieve the pressure off the system after you’re done brewing. It does have the 58 millimeter, the commercial style porta filters, the same porta filter diameter that you do see on commercial machines. Another nice thing too we’re going to show you is that the steam wand is actually on a ball joint so it gives you a lot of motion and it gives you the ability to fit a larger or smaller steaming pitcher underneath it. The Gaggia New Baby is a great looking machine. On the sides you have the glossed black side panels and on the front you actually have the chrome accent piece which really makes your buttons pop out.
There are two buttons on this machine, you have the brew button and the steam button, then you actually have two backlit lights that are going to let you know that the machine is on and that you are up to temperature. Now, the nice thing about this is the steam wand is actually on a ball joint so it gives you vertical motion which is nice, not a lot of machines have that out there. What that comes in handy for is when you have to put a steaming pitcher underneath it, it gives you the most range of motion so you can get that really good frothed milk that we’re all looking for. With this machine it has the 58 millimeter commercial sized port a filter, chrome plated brass allows for very good heat stability. And just I mean, again with the looks, it looks really good, the stainless steel drip tray with the float in it lets you know when the water is full, and the nice thing too about the New Baby is it does have a three way solenoid valve so this is going to help dry out the puck and relieve the pressure off the machine after you’re done brewing.
Now we’ll actually spin the machine around and show you the back of it. Now we have the machine turned around, you’re going to notice the large water reservoir, very easy to fill, you can pour it from behind with a pitcher, and there’s actually a handle that pops up and you can take it over to the faucet so that makes it very handy for filling. And then also you’ll see on the back of the machine you have your main power button and where the cord plugs into it. So, a great little machine and it does a great job of putting out some quality espresso. So that was the Gaggia New Baby espresso machine. Now, some of the nice features this does have remember is the three way solenoid valve, your cup warmer, the 58 millimeter commercial style port a filter, and the steam arm that is attached by a ball joint.
